Sender of digest mails (9 posts)

    There is an option to set who the mails are sent from. This only works for single post notifications. For digest mails it seems to use the admin mail adress as sender. It would be nice to have an option to set this as well.

    @Stig,

    The digest email used the same mail() and header() functions as the per-post notification. The only difference I can imagine is that you have the sender set as the "Post Author" and this may well vary for several posts in a digest.

    Try going to Subscribe2->Settings and setting the Sender of the email as something other than "Post Author" and see if that helps.

    There are three options: Post Author, my self and the sitename. If I choose the sitename, the admin e-mail (set in WordPress general options)seems to be used (what else could it be?). The admin e-mail is mine, but the sender shuld be my client or e.g. mail@domain.org. It would be nice to have an option to set this.

    @Stig,

    Set up a user account at the admin privilege level for your client and that will be added as an option to choose in the drop down you've seen.

    If you want to limit your clients access to the Subscribe2 menus use the 's2_capability' as detailed in the FAQs.

    OK, I understand. Thank you for your good support. But I do not want to give my client admin priviledge. Is who appears in the drop down connected to a specific capability? If so I can assign only this capability to the client by the User Role Editor.

    @Stig,

    The drop down options are "Post Author", the blog name and the admin email or any user with an "administrator" as their "role".

    I'm not sure that the User Role Editor will help you there. Could you change the blog admin email address to that of your client?

    Yes, I guess that is the best workaround. The client will get some admin e-mails, but they are seldom important. Thank you for your support.

    I changed the admin email to my client, and the sender is now blog name with my clients email as expected. But mail about new subscribers still come to me. How is that? Is that sent to all users with the role "administrator"?

    @Stig,

    Second option under "Notification Settings" at Subscribe2->Settings is "Send Admins notifications for new".

    Set it to neither if you don't want notifications for new subscriptions and unsubscriptions.
