[Plugin: Subscribe2] Confirmation of email adress not working on my blog

    Hi MattyRob,
    I noticed on my blog, that there are subscribtions waiting to be confirmed. I had a few people asking me why there subcribtions are not working. The subcribtion notification emails are being sent and if the person clicks on the confirmation link it seems to be ok. But the email adres is never been subscribed it seems. In the admin panel it stays on “waiting for confirmation” I can’t find the reason what seems to go wrong. It looks like it started in december 2010 that people can not subscribe.
    Do you know what may be the reason for not subscribing the email adresses or what i have forgot or changed in the settings maybe?

    @250,

    To action the subscription confirmation Subscribe2 uses a PHP $_GET request. For some reason your server seems to be missing or dropping this data. Check with your hosting provider and see if they can explain why.

    Hi MattyRob,
    I asked my host at Hostgator and they helped me out in pointing out the htaccess file. I looked at some of my installed plugins and after a little search I noticed that the problem was, I had checked a setting in the wordpress SEO plugin from Yoast. My fault, because the info with the checkbox had a warning. So if someone else run into the same problem.
    It is the checkbox under the permalinks tab:

    Checkbox: Redirect ugly URL’s to clean permalinks. (Not recommended in many cases!)
