[Plugin: Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Subscriptions not working unless i follow the link from the

If i click the link on the comments page then i get the url:
/subscribe/?srp=9&sra=s which when i enter the email address it all works perfectly. However if i just go to /subscribe/ and enter an email address i get an email confirming my subscription but get no further emails.

Is it possible to set a default id that they are subscribed to as i only have one page which needs this?
