Hi there,
could you post the URL where this is happening? I’d like to check something… It seems like you’re testing this feature while being logged in as the admin or another registered user.
Thanks,
Camu

Even I thought so. Hence I used to log out and then confirm. I also tried through 2 browsers simultaneously.
Thank you. I see you have also to manually APPROVE all the comments posted on your blog, is this correct?
Okay, I see what happens here. When you “approve” a comment being held in the moderation queue, my plugin automatically changes the status of that subscription from “pending” to “approved” as well, bypassing the email confirmation thing. This is because I assume that if you approve a comment, it means you trust the user who has posted it, and so there’s no need to wait any longer for him/her to confirm the subscription 🙂 There’s a “weird behavior” though, which I’ll try to fix in the next release. The solution is to WAIT until they confirm their subscription, before approving the corresponding comment.

PS: a vote for my plugin will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking time looking into Camu. It’s much appreciated and I would be looking for the next release where this is resolved.
BTW, I have already voted 5 stars for your plugin!
Sure thing! But again, you will have to wait until the user clicks on the confirmation link, before approving the corresponding comment, otherwise you will implicitly be telling StCR to “activate” that subscription because you trust this user.
Best,
Camu
As a feature suggestion, a digest feature where user can opt to receive a digest version of comments, if there are too many comments being made, would be very desirable.

I don’t think so, because I just approved a comment but the subscription status of the user is still showing “Awaiting Confirmation”.
Yeah, that was on my to-do list at first, but then I decided to not implement this feature to keep the whole process of subscribing as easier as possible 🙂 Adding this would mean to add a new checkbox for the end user, and you know how lazy people are 🙂

Yes, this is what needs to be fixed in 1.6.1 🙂

Hi there,
it’s been a while, but just so you know, I’ve addressed this issue in the new version of StCR that will be released soon. Please let me know if the new behavior is what you were looking for 🙂
