The extension sends mail notifications for comments still in moderation, i.e., comment subscribers receive notifications for comments not published yet.

Yes, this had been requested by some users, who wanted users to be able to follow the discussion even if their comment hadn't been approved yet. I will probably add a new option to allow admins to choose what behavior the extension should have in cases like this.
