Thank you for the 2.0 update, i noticed a few problems.

    1. The tag [post_title] doesn't show up anymore.
Is there a list of tags that i can use ?

    2. Another thing is that the (dutch) localization is not up to date anymore. I'll guess i have to wait untill 'Dutch - Muratje' updated his localization file?

    3. Third point is that i receive many questions from users that receiving subscribe mails. how is this possible?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Margje,

thank you for upgrading to 2.0. Unfortunately this new version had a few bugs, the good news is that thanks to your feedback, I've identified most of them, and a new version will be released early next week to address all these issues.

    1. The tag [post_title] doesn't show up anymore.
Is there a list of tags that i can use ?

Yes, this tag is not working properly in 2.0, it's a known bug. As for the list, you can find that in the description associated to each field.

    2. Another thing is that the (dutch) localization is not up to date anymore. I'll guess i have to wait untill 'Dutch - Muratje' updated his localization file?

You're more than welcome to contribute. If you want, contact me and I'll tell you were to send your updated localization files

    3. Third point is that i receive many questions from users that receiving subscribe mails. how is this possible?

Could you please elaborate on this?

    Best

    Thanks for your reply Camu,

I've contacted Muratje and he will send you a fresh dutch localization soon.

Another issue. I've de-activated and activated the plugin and after that:

    - All the email adresses that where subscribed in the past where subscribed again

    and

    - All the email adresses that have a subscribtion are subscribed TWICE (!) with the same mail adres!

Problem: over 5000 subscribions and many angry users :(

I have to remove all email adresses i guess ....

is it possible to start ' all over' ?
i have removed all subscribtions, but when i deactivate - activate the plugin, there all back again. how to flush this information?

All the email adresses that have a subscribtion are subscribed TWICE (!) with the same mail adres!

This should not happen, actually there's a check in my plugin just to prevent this from happening. Not sure why this didn't work in your specific case.

is it possible to start ' all over' ?

Yes, you will need to manually DROP the table wp_subscribe_reloaded from your database, or at least rename it. Make sure to export the data first, just in case you need to restore it later!

    im confused!

Dropped the wp_subscribe_reloaded tabel, deactivated, activated. all the mail adresses are back again!

Removed wp_subscribe_reloaded tabeb, deactivated, activated double all the mail adresses

    deactivated, activated, triple etc.

But the wp_subscribe_reloaded is not there anymore. what the f... ?

Where are the mail adresses in my mysql ???

I've upgraded from 'subscribe to comments' to your 'reloaded' plugin a few months ago, maybe this had something to do with this?

For the moment i'v disable the plugin and i'm very disapointed! :(

That's the problem! You hadn't mentioned it before :) Unfortunately the "old" Subscribe to Comments by Mark Jaquith doesn't clean-up the data when uninstalled, so what my plugin is doing is to import that data in your database. You may want to drop that plugin's data as well (it is in a column inside wp_comments).

But you gave me a good idea, which is to prevent DOUBLE importing Jaquith's plugin's data. I will add this to the next release!

Thank you so much for your feedback, really helpful!

Great Camu! And how to solve my problem?

2500 subscribed mail adresses are 5 times in my mysql database. So 12.500 mail adresses. The plugin is useless for me at this moment.

How to clean up this mess and start with a clean 'subscribe to comments reloaded' plugin / database ?

    Thanks in advance!

    empty _subscribe_reloaded

    remove from wp_comments this ones:

    comment_subscribe_optin_mailed
    comment_subscribe_optin_verified
    comment_subscribe_optin

    ?

    What about wp_subscribe2

    tnx

you can drop that as well. backup your data first!

    Now it's getting serious camu,

    I've renamed:

    comment_subscribe_optin_mailed
    comment_subscribe_optin_verified
    comment_subscribe_optin

    Activated your plugin again and...

The mail adresses are 6 times subscribed !

Where is the key to solve this and stop messing up my database?

What do you see when you run this query in phpmyadmin?

    DESC wp_comments comment_subscribe

    And this one?

    SELECT comment_post_ID, CONCAT('_stcr@_', comment_author_email), CONCAT(comment_date, '|Y')
    FROM wp_comments
    WHERE comment_author_email LIKE '%@%.%' AND comment_subscribe = 'Y'
    GROUP BY comment_post_ID, comment_author_email"

What's the name of your COMMENTS table? The one you showed here above. Isn't it wp_comments?

Okay, cool. And what's the result of the query? Does it list something? Could I have a temporary account to access that DB, maybe it's easier that way. Contact me at
