[Plugin: Statpress Visitors] – Very very Slowing down my Backend WordPress

I have had 3 whole hours trying to figure one which plugin is making my backend wordpress 3.2.1 to respond very slowly, uploads of pictures are slow opening pages are slow but on the front-end every is just fine. So now I have found out the culprit, which is [Plugin: Statpress Visitors] Can somebody tell me if there is a work around to this since I really want to have the statpress visitor. It is now deactivated and everything is fast.
