SpeakUp! Email Petitions
[resolved] original test email address stuck in email field (3 posts)

I set up a test petition to make sure that everything worked and pointed to the right place. Ever since my first test submission, the original email that I entered as a petition signer has been stuck in the email field. Even when someone else from a different computer opens the petition page, my email is still "pre-filled" in the email address field.

I even created a second petition on a separate page and the original email "pre-filled" the email field the moment I posted the page.

The website is still "private" for a few days until I figure out this issue. Any ideas?

The name and email fields are pre-filled for any users who are logged in to your WordPress site.

If you log out and refresh the page then the fields will be blank. This is what most people visiting your site will see.

If another registered user logs in and loads the petition page, then their information will be placed into the form

The reason you are only seeing your email filled in and not your name is likely because you did not complete your user profile. Log in to the Dashboard and go to Users > Your Profile to see your user info.

Are each of the different computers you are testing on logged in to your account?

    Kreg,

Thank you for the reply and for setting me straight! Each of the different computers were logging in through my account. We are all good to go now.

    Many thanks,

    Beaver
