[resolved] 8-bit filenames and other issues (8 posts)

    Hi,
the plugin looks very promising for the use I'm looking for (file sharing for a community site). Unfortunately the file list in client view does not support 8-bit filenames.

The admin page (home) and file download window shows the filenames ok.

Also the table view is very ugly, not at all what is shown in the examples. And the projects are not shown on the list (or is this pure premium-feature, even though you can specify projects).

And lastly: the "Add File"-dialog does not close after the upload. It stays on and is blank.

Am I missing something here? Most of above may be user error but the 8-bit issue is probably something else.

    Hello,

can you link me to your installation? You should be able to force utf8 by adding the following into your code anywhere

    header('Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8');

    Hi,
I made a new user for the site. user-id: test pw: test

You can now test the setup. Where exactly should I add the header-text? Into template-files or into SP-files?

1.30 -version seemed to correct most of the issues (visibility of projects and the general outlook of the file list).

If you just point me to right direction concerning the charset-issue I'll be a happy camper.

I've also translated the front end to Finnish (.mo and .po -files) but all the text is still in English. I have Finnish installation of wordpress, so the language setting should be ok (at least other plugins honor it).

I'm removing the test user now...

Unfortunately it looks like the plugin is completely broken on IE9: the file list shows just two first files and is not dynamically updated. To make updates show, you need to close the browser and then restart it. On FireFox it works ok.

I'm willing to purchase the premium version if this and the a.m. features are fixed. Otherwise I must look elsewhere, which is shame since this is just what I was looking for.

Charset used on my site is UTF-8.

    Regards,
    Matti Remonen
