Is there a way to do it?
The problem with the LIKE/recommend button is that it just automatically posts the page on your fb account. whereas the share icon lets users add description plus it also posts the post title/article descrption etc.

I removed the original share button altogether once they stopped supporting it. I probably won't be looking into it too much further. I am going to be adding some hooks and filters to the plugin to allow others to expand and change functionality.
The Share button has been deprecated in favor of the Like button, and will no longer be supported.
