Switch to sprite image (2 posts)

I was wondering if it's possible to change the current code/or implement an option so instead of making a request for each picture icon (in my case that would be 12 requests) to just make one and use a sprite image and some CSS code to display them.

Also, I'm getting some errors when analysing my website regarding images:

The following image(s) are missing width and/or height attributes.
    http://www.<site>.com/wp-content/plugins/social-sharing-toolkit/images/icons_small/email.png (Dimensions: 16 x 16) (2 uses)
    http://www.<site>.com/wp-content/plugins/social-sharing-toolkit/images/icons_small/facebook.png (Dimensions: 16 x 16) (2 uses)
    http://www.<site>.com/wp-content/plugins/social-sharing-toolkit/images/icons_small/linkedin.png (Dimensions: 16 x 16) (2 uses)

one for each icon I'm displaying.

I’m also interested in changing to a sprite.png. I already have the png file with all icons but I have no idea what to change to make this work. Did you found a way?
