   Be very careful when mapping your custom variables to the segment - if you accidentally use the same custom variable twice, your analytics will be off for a period of time and entirely useless.

   GA recently re-added (was in old GA) the ability to share custom segments. We updated the instructions page to include them so users don't need to fuss with doing this manually:
