   My client reported that this just started happening today - in IE8, the Sociable icons are visible for a moment then are replaced by a row of what look like 'b' images in IE.

   I remember seeing something like this on a WP site in the last year but can't remember how I fixed it. Can someone help?

   I am experiencing the same problem. "b' images appearing.

   How do I fix this issue please?

   ok I worked it out, you need to click the box that says:

   "Disable sprite usage for images?"

   Once you do this the images appear on your site.
