Prev/Next navigation arrows disappear with custom CSS (4 posts)

I duplicated the /default/ skin, renamed the folder and selected this as the custom skin. I made one change to the CSS, the background color, and now the Next/Arrows will not display.

Show Prev/Next navigation arrows is enabled in settings.

No matter what I set the background to, those arrows won't display with a custom skin. (The images are in the custom skin folder.)

Also, does using a custom skin mean that some of the settings in the backend no longer work? For example, I have the slide image set to display centered in the plugin settings, but it displays in the preview and on the front end left aligned. It's like that setting is being ignored or is overwritten by the skin CSS.

Did you get an answer to the disappearing arrows when creating a new skin. I have the same issue an having difficulty figuring it out.

I didn't get an answer but I figured it out by modifying some of the skin CSS files. I don't recall the exact changes, but it hinged on realizing that the custom skin CSS was not overriding the default skin CSS. You can see it in action here.

in my case the problem was that I hadn't modified the -skin-default selectors in the CSS to -skin-myskinname, so the arrows weren't showing up. Changing those seletors caused the arrors to show up again.
