   When installed, it displays the same theme for the phone that it does with regular browsers even when they are explicitly set to be different. (Yes, I checked, counter-checked and checked again.) What is weird is that two computers on the same network will behave differently. There is no fathomable reason for this other than some weirdness with the script.

   Hi, sorry for not answering sooner. I just teste the plugin with WordPress 3.0 and Smooci 2 theme (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/smooci-2) on an iPhone and it worked.
   Here is the blog http://mariuscristiandonea.com/ ... normal theme apears on a PC, iMac, ... and Smooci 2 apears on a mobile device (iPhone in my case).

   The problem you described may apear if your mobile device isn't listed in the filter. Any more details about what smarthphone are you using for a plugin update will be helpful.

   Also the plugin's behavior doesn't depend on the computer it depends on the browser.
