   Having used smarty on other CMS platforms, I know how good it is and how it can really improve page rendering speed. Also as you point out there are many other frameworks that become available.

   I'm interested in this plugin, are there known bugs of any kind? Does it conflict with WP core in any way, and does one have to hack any core files? (I imagine not, since it's in the WP Codex)

   I second that thanks, I really enjoy this plugin and would think it could really take off if there was some more documentation available.

   Hope I can get around to open sourcing a theme I made with this recently, that could help some people I gather.
