[Plugin: Smart Archives Reloaded] Same archives displayed on all templates regardless of php exclude (4 posts)

    I am using Smart Archives Reloaded to display the archives of specific categories on different pages and I love its look; however, whichever page I edit last, those archives show up on every archive page.

    For example I use
    <?php smart_archives('exclude_cat=1,3,4,9,31,34,200,338,690,707,974'); ?>
    in the template to only display category 313 here and it works great.

    But then when I use
    <?php smart_archives('exclude_cat=1,3,4,9,31,200,313,338,690,707,974'); ?>
    in another template to only display category 34 here it still only shows the results of the most recently edited php call and displays category 313.

    I have tried clearing the browser cache, WP super cache, and disabling all other plugins but nothing worked. Is the plugin not able to function this way or am I doing something wrong?

    Try using the include_cat argument instead:

    <?php smart_archives('include_cat=313'); ?>

    PS: I hope you're using the latest version of the plugin.

    I am using the latest version of the plug-in, but the include_cat didn't work either, it has the same problem as the exclude_cat

    It's working on my end.

    Say you have this category hierarchy:

    Parent Category (1)
      Child Category (2)

    and you set include_cat=1.

    It will only include the posts that have the Parent Category assigned directly to them and ignore posts that have Child Category.

    It's a limitation that I hope I can eliminate in a future version.
