Slideshow
[resolved] Seamless transitions? (8 posts)

    What a great plugin!

    I have only 1 but important question:

    All slides disappear when fading out and before each next slide is loaded, there is sort of gap where I can see site's background between slides. Is there a way to make each slide that is about to disappear to have sort of delay allowing each next slide to cover it by fading in? This could create 'seamless' transitions which I'm looking for.

    I didn't find that in options - thus asking.
    Thanks for your support!

    Thanks for the compliment!

    I'm sorry though, to have to confirm that it's not yet possible to get a seamless fade transition between your slides. This functionality will be implemented in the next big script update that wil come with version 2.3.0. I hope you'll stick around until then!

    If the background of your website isn't suitable for the slideshow, you could set a custom background for it in the custom style settings.

    .slideshow_container {
        backgrouind: #fff /* Provides a white background. #000 will make for a black background. */
    }

    Wow, this is what I call a lightspeed answer ;D

    ok then, I will use this coding hint as for now.
    I'd would be great if this feature comes with the very next update.
    Thanks for your work!

    Stefan,
    Just wanted to thank you for this great plugin. I, like kryvulena, need a fading slider that is seamless, and was hoping that the client wouldn't notice the "gaps", but they did so I might have to work out another solution (the whitespace wouldn't work in my situation), but I do appreciate your work on this plugin and I'll be back for v. 2.3.0!

    I'm glad you like it! It's a shame though, that I still can't give a date on which I expect it to be ready for release.

    @liumva, I ended up using Slideshow by ithemes:

    It's pretty customizable. Sorry to send someone elsewhere, Stefan! I know you'll have this feature in your plugin soon.

    Any movement on the background not showing up between slides? I see it's not due until v 2.3 I have a similar need as mentioned. Otherwise love the plugin.
