[Plugin: Slideshow Jquery Image Gallery] Conflict when getting a post excerpt?

So I am working on a page that has a slideshow on it and two feeds generated by the Post Content Shortcodes plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-content-shortcodes/)

One of the feeds only displays post titles and this works fine, the other feed needs to display a post title plus an excerpt of the post, but when I use this the slideshow plugin crashes (I get something like !slideshow id= xx! in its place). I managed to narrow it down to a conflict with whatever function gets the post excerpt because that’s the only variable I need to change to trigger the slideshow crashing. How should I go about getting around this problem? I know some PHP but I am not familiar with the WordPress system code at all.
