[resolved] [Plugin: SlideDeck 2 Lite Content Slider] YOUR WORDPRESS LISTING IS MISLEADING AND FALSE (4 posts)

In the documentation of your LITE version in the WordPress repository you clearly state that Picasa is one of the dynamic sources. NOWHERE do you state that an upgrade to your paid version is required for this functionality (or if you do, you manged to hide it very successfully).

Upon activation, if you want to connect to Picasa you are immediately asked to upgrade to the paid version.

I am sure this is true of other sources, I did not bother to look, I want nothing to do with you.

I'm interested in using this plugin and luckily the interest is greater than reading the above comment. Personally I don't find the listing either misleading or false. I think there could be greater clarity in asserting what is paid and what is free. To that end I would address the following statement to the plugin authors -

"It would assist prospective users of this plugin to know the differences between the free and paid versions."

That assists the authors to be more mindful of user expectations. It also respects their contribution to making WordPress a great experience.

The wording "I did not bother to look, I want nothing to do with you" is disdainful and not co-creative in improving the user experience.

    Hi guys,
First off rafikipress, thanks for voicing your concerns. We have no intention to mislead any users searching the repository and are only trying to correctly represent what the plugin is capable of. Granted that the Lite version does not include all of the features and it was an oversight to include the tag of Picasa without a proper caveat.

    Thanks for weighing in SantariGreen,
We've provided an extra paragraph at the bottom of the description that explains the issue a bit better.

Thanks again for the input guys,
    Jamie
