    Why don’t you use this code:
    <a href="/wp-login.php" class="simplemodal-login">Login</a>

    It works for sure and makes exactly the same.

    When you say it doesn’t work, what is happening?

    Do you have wp_footer(); in the footer of your theme?

    yeah i do have a footer.
    Emartin the popup doesnt work I mean Modal

    Do you have a page I can view? Make sure you don’t have any other JS errors on your page.
