SimpleMap Store Locator
No Field for Google API Key (5 posts)

    Hi,

I've installed simplemap, however on the General Settings page under "Map Configuration" there is not a field for my google api key. I saw it in the video and some of the docs, so I uninstalled/reinstalled to no avail.

Also, on the same page, I have a message in red that states:
"You have to many locations to auto-load them all. Only the closest 250 will be displayed if auto-load all is selected." I haven't entered 1 location yet, much less 250+.

Lastly, note that "to" in the above error should be spelled "too"

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,
    Dave

Addendum: The red error message about "Too many locations" is indeed stopping the auto-loading of locations. So far I only have 1 location entered. I really like the looks and functionality of your map (nice work, btw!), but I have to decide on a solution relatively soon, and "Store Locator Plus", while considerably less attractive and not as standards focused, just works.

My client is definitely open to the paid version, but I can't sell him if there is a rather large bug right out of the gate.

    Thanks again,
    Dave

Just thought I'd follow up here. I'd also like to reiterate my willingness to purchase your product if you can help with the error.

    Thanks for your time,
    Dave

So did you have to hardcode the API key in the end or?

Found out no key is needed since API V3 so no code change is needed for that.
