Hi Joost,
Could you make a small change to your plugin so the xHTML of the included Widget is the same as the Tag Widget? The only difference is that the Tag Widget has a pair of Div tags around the tag cloud.
Only needed change would be on line 178 and 180 (echo 'div'; and echo "</div>\n";)
