   Hey,

   when ive got posts tagged private, the tags for those posts dont show up in my tag cloud.

   any idea how to those tags to show if im logged in as a role with the necessary capabilities?

   I had the same problem and ended up using the private tags plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/private-tags/). You publish your post as public but add a tag that says "private". Not sure if that is the best solution but works for me.
