   This plugin redirected all categories on my blog to my home page. As soon as I deactivated it, everything worked OK.

   You don't need to de-activate it. Just go to plugin page, "General" tab and uncheck this option "Active tags for page:". It's a know bug, an incompatibility of the plugin with WP 3.1.
