   When I activate the Simple Tags plugin it causes the media upload buttons to disappear. I deactivate the plugin and the media upload buttons reappear. I use the plugin on another site on the same version of WP (2.7) on the same server and have no uses. All the other features work except for the mystery of the disappearing media upload buttons. Anyone have the same issue or have any idea on how to fix it? thanks in advance.

   I getting the same think, and only on one blog also. Don't know the fix. I disabled every one of my other plugins, but it kept happening.

   My Simple Tag settings are the same on each blog.

   It took me a little while to realize I was having the same problems. I tried rolling back to 1.5.8, and that DID restore my media buttons (if I recall correctly) but I still had other crippling issues. (That "you must enable javascript" error.)

   Seems like a compatibility issue. :(

   I'm also having this issue on WP 2.7 with Simple Tags 1.6.4.

   Some people are having problems with this due to problems uploading files completely when updating or installing WordPress, Adobe Air and Flash 10, some JavaScript cache issues, and other possibilities. See:

   @gcoghill: Seriously consider upgrading as that version has security vulnerabilities and might resolve your issues.

   Same this issue on WP 2.7.1 with Simple Tags 1.6.4.

   I'll keep an eye on this thread...

   Hmm, has anyone found a solution? I tried using the 'Google jQuery Library' plugin to bypass the drama but there was no joy.

   Has anyone switched to some other (configurable) tag plugin that works? The default tag widget works...
