Simple Social Buttons
Exclude Pages like about and contact pages (6 posts)

Having social buttons on certain pages is not always desirable. For instance, I would like to have the option to exclude the buttons from my Contact and About pages (or any other pages). For now I have to hide the buttons with CSS, but that's not the best solution.

Any chance you will implement this in the plugin?

    Hi,

Based on the plugin info on the WP plugin repository, it seems that adding the buttons on pages is optional.
Try to look for any custom plugin options to enable or disable the buttons on your page editing window on a per-page basis.

    Cheers!

    Hi there!

In version 1.5 you can decide on which post/page buttons are shown :)

It would also be nice to exclude from fbtab pages (for obvious reasons).

    Thanks for responding!

facebook tabs: its a custom post type that is used as a facebook app, sits in an iframe on your facebook page, so it is not cool to have social buttons on it :)

    See http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-tab-manager/
    or http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/462/

If you do make a change, it might be better to have a place to to specify exclusion of 'custom page types' as well as pages.

    Thanks!
