Simple Real Estate Pack
Error: reached max number of calls for today (18 posts)

Using Simple Real Estate Pack version 1.1.3.4.

The mortgage calculators were working wonderfully, and then all of a sudden my site went haywire. My menu shifted, my photo slider stopped working and then I noticed the calculator widgets disappeared and were replaced with an error message:

"Error: this account has reached is maximum number of calls for today"

My browser picked up a Javascript error:
    Error: srp_refresh_tabs is not defined
    Source File: http://www..../plugins/simple-real-estate-pack-4/js/srp.js
    Line: 123

I have no choice but to deactivate the plugin to get my site back up and running normally. Hope there is a fix soon! This plugin ROCKS!

    Thanks.

One of your API services reaches it's daily limit. Have you asked Yelp to increase your API limit when you initially installed the plugin? Yelp's API calls are limited to 100 a day - you have to contact them to increase it to 10,000. They do it on purpose to see who is using their API. Read second paragraphs (there is an email address too) http://www.yelp.com/developers/getting_started

Thanks for the response. Your Plugin is AWESOME! I looked into the API Terms for Zillow's Mortgage Calculator and it limits 1000 calls per day. This is the culprit I believe. Now I just have to track down who to contact over there to make the request to increase it.

Sure thing. My plan is to launch the site first, hopefully July 1st, so they can access it, right now it's private during development.

Then I will fill out their API call increase request formto get an upgrade. (You need to log in to your Zillow account first to get to the form.)

The text on the form reads:

Prior to submitting an API call increase request, please make sure you have completed these steps:

    • Read and agreed to Terms of Use
    • Followed the branding requirements
    • Integrated Zillow content into a test site that we can access (make sure to include the disclaimer)

If you are requesting access to our GetRegionPostings API or Mortgage API, please submit the form below and someone will get back to you.

Please use your primary e-mail address — it will be used to contact you with any modifications that need to be made in order to comply with our Terms of Use. Changing the e-mail address on this form will not change your permanent e-mail address on your Zillow account.

    You also need to supply:
    Email:
    Phone:
    API URL:
    Vertical: (Real Estate Broker)
    API Request Type:
    - API Call Increase
    - GetRegionPostings API
    - Mortgage API
    - Recent Sales Data
    - Local Market Explorer WordPress Plugin
    - Tracking Code

    I am having the message
Error:this account has reached is maximum number of calls for today

I see other posts mention yelp api or zillow api, but I have neither of those.

How can I tell what api is causing the problem?

@kyborn - what type of services are you using? What data supposed to load on the page when you get the error message? For example is you expect schools to load and instead you get an error message, then I'd think that education.com API is the bottleneck. In the case of education.com - I'd have to contact them to increase the overall limit since they provided a dedicated API key for the plugin to all users.

Well... I have only Internet Explorer 9 and it doesn't show any errors. IE9 allows to switch to earlier version modes and I did all the way to IE7, and still don't see any errors.

Have you tried clearing your browser's cache?

Actually, I see it in IE7 mode... it appears that JS files are being loaded on that page, but there is no content relevant to the plugin. Make sure you're using the latest version of the plugin. It shouldn't load JS files if there is no plugin's content on that page.
