• Hey there!

I’m currently trying to use the Comment extension of the SFC plugin. I am trying to follow the instructions (along with searching online) on what to modify for a Genesis theme, but I’m not able to find anything handy.

    Any help would be appreciated.

In the Genesis theme, there is a comments.php and nothing in the child theme. In the comments.php there is the following code:

[Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please use the pastebin]

What exactly should I change to use the SFC comments?

    Please advise.

    Thanks!

If you have the latest version of the Genesis theme, then it’s using the comment_form function, so it should just work, without any manual editing of the theme.

    Otto,

Thanks for reply. I am using Genesis 1.7.1 and Magazine Child Theme 1.0.1. I believe there is a newer version of Magazine Child Theme, but I am not able to use that one as it has a different layout.

I have all of the SFC options checked and have 3 green boxes on the settings page. Everything else seems to be working.

You’ll have to ask the genesis guys, I don’t know how their older themes work.

    Same issue here with Genesis.
Did you try adding code using Genesis Simple Hooks plugin?
