    I'm trying to login using "Connect with Facebook" button on wp-login.php page. On backend I enter Facebook API Key, Facebook Application Secret and Facebook Application ID, when I hit "Connect with Facebook" a new window pops up, and nothing going on in that window (it's a blank window) I assume it should ask me for my Facebook credentials but it's just blank. What am I doing wrong?

    Are you somehow blocking Facebook in your browser?

    no, I'm using Facebook in my other frame no problem. I'm using Chrome browser I can even test it through another browser if you think it's a browser issue.

    Do you have your website url set up in your facebook app?

    I just had the same problem. Everything seemed to work fine, then I tried to give permission and kept getting a blank window. Went through the app onfacebook, and realized I'd forgot to include my website URL somehow. Put it in, and it asked me for permission the next time I tried

    ERROR: Facebook user not recognized

    This means that you have enabled SFC-Login and tried to login using Facebook, but have not actually connected that FB user to a WP user yet.

    In other words, the Facebook authentication was successful, but SFC doesn't recognize the Facebook user as being connected to any WordPress user.

    Log in normally, go to Users->Your Profile, then connect the Facebook user to your WP account.

    I did that, but the main reason for have SFC is that user dont need to have a local account on WordPress and they can just login using their Facebook credentials (I also post similar topic in regards to Simple Twitter Connect), so essentially what I'm trying to accomplish is that to have users logging in using their Facebook or Twitter accounts

    SFC-Login does require them to have a local account. You can't login without having a local account.

    SFC-Register will modify SFC-Login to have it create them a new WP account when they try to login using FBConnect and it can't find an existing account.

    SFC-Comments uses a different approach, and does not require them to create an account to leave a comment. It is wholly separate from the login and register plugins.

    Ok, I got it. That would work for me :) One last question, is that something you offer a strip at the bottom of the page just like wordpress.org does? where you have this strip of people who "Like"'d your page

    You can use the like plugin for that, although you have to add the like code to the footer manually.

    Example:
    sfc_like_button( array( 'url' => 'http://www.facebook.com/ottopress' ) );

    This would show a like button that corresponds to the URL of my app on Facebook. Like buttons, and their counts, correspond to URLs. While you can use any URL at all, the URL of your Facebook page/app is what you get when you use the Fan Box, for example. That's people who have liked your site on FB.

    It's the way we do that space here on WordPress, the URL corresponds to http://www.facebook.com/WordPress which is the WP page on FB.
