• I have added the SFC Comments to my site. While I was logged in to Facebook, it was showing me that I’m logged it and allowed to add comments. However when I logged out of Facebook and refreshed the page on our blog, it has shown ‘You are connected. Logout’ But since I was not logged in with Facebook, it showed of course an empty user info box. The comment box itself was present since the status was detected as logged in. I had to press on Logout in SFC Comments in order for it to show me the “Connect to Facebook” button and standard WP comment fields. This seems like a bug! Not all users are smart enough to click Logout and may have trouble commenting then.

I did not use SFC Connect (it’s not activated) because I don’t really need it. It already shows the “Login” prompt correctly in all other parts of SFC such as Facebook Activity Stream and Facebook Like Box (that I had to use instead of SFC Fun Box due to it not having dark color scheme option present in Facebook code) after I logged out. Do I need SFC Connect activated for this to work correctly? Or should it work correctly even without it anyway?

The information shown was actually correct. You were connected. You just had logged out of Facebook. The fact that you logged out of Facebook in some other way didn’t change your connected status. Logging out of Facebook doesn’t magically disconnect you from the site, and if you had in fact commented, it probably would have worked.

The site knew who you were, even if your browser did not.
