• Okay, a user is logged in. They have connected their account with Facebook via the “Connect with Facebook” button on their edit profile page. Or this was done by using the button on the registration screen, any method to get this done. Basically their account is connected and they are logged in.

Now… as far as I can tell, there is no way to publish a comment this user has made to their personal facebook wall/timeline.

The only way the user has this option is to not log in to any wordpress account via any method, and then use the “connect with facebook” button that appears right above the comment textarea input, and then check the “share this on facebook” box under the comment textarea input. (using 10-20 theme).

How can users with wordpress accounts publish to their facebook wall?

    Thank you!

  • This is a great plugin – thank you @otto.

I just had this problem and can’t wait for the next release – had to fix it in a hurry by hacking the plugin code in a less-than-perfect way – apologies Otto. It now works on 3.3.1 / twenty eleven. Bryan, I can send you code if you like.
