    Hi there,

Thank you for this amazing plugin. I really like it. But today I was looking for a “Recommend” Facebook popup similar to the one that you can see on Mashable and other sites, and have found that now Facebook has an official plugin for WordPress, and you recommend us to try it, and also I can see you on the list of the other plugin developers. So I was wondering if I should try that plugin instead of this because you won’t continue it, and I don’t know how easy or difficult is it to migrate from one to the other. One of my sites is deeply integrated with Facebook (user registration, comments, etc.), and I’m not sure how safe is it to disable one and use the other, or use both at the same time. And because of Facebook nature, I cannot test it on a local environment as FB gives there all kinds of errors.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance!

When the official plugin reaches feature parity with SFC, I’ll cease supporting SFC.

However, the official plugin isn’t there yet. So while I’m not doing any new development on SFC, I’ll continue supporting it until the official plugin is just as capable and is a viable replacement for all the various aspects of SFC.

I do recommend new users try the official plugin first and help contribute to its development. But if you’re already using SFC for things that the official plugin doesn’t have yet, it’s fine to stick with SFC.
