[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Facebook Like's lost after category change

When I deselected the “featured” category for a post I realized that all of my Facebook likes were gone for the post. I assume this is because the URL has changed from xxxxx.com/featured/post to xxxxx.com/newcategory/post

Is there any thing that can be done about this?
