I am considering migrating my phpbb forums to WP bbpress plugin. While phpbb is much more powerful, there is something to be said about lower maintenance (theme etc) in an integrated approach.
My WordPress site is a essentially a CMS site, not a blog. I have not provided anywhere for visitors to register. I have allowed comments via Disqus plugin.
If I install bbpress plugin, on of the biggest things I'd want is that people should be able to log into bbpress using their Facebook logins.
Can Simple Facebook Connect enable Facebook authentication for bbpress, even though I don't have a login area marked on my WP CMS site?

Unknown at this time. Not enough people have used it in this manner to provide feedback on what needs to be added to make it work. In theory, it will work fine.

Any update to this? I'm interested in the same thing, but add to this that I have WordPress Multisite/Network and want bbPress on one subsite.
Right now, I can't even get SFC to appear on the default site's sign-up page.

ive just found a plugin called
- Social connect Version 0.9 | By Brent Shepherd
it works on the bbpress plugin's login widget
but its aimed more at all social sites, which doesnt really suit me and has no where near the amount of features ottos plugin has, and as im only really intrested in facebook im going to have a look at them both tomorro and see if i can take the code from the social connect an at it to sfc, but as im no coder dont hold me to it cos ill probs fail lmao
