Hi there ! I'm a podcaster (audio only) and would like to have my posts show up with the miniplayer on facebook when I share a link pointing to a post with audio attachment. Also, I use Podpress.

Do you plan on a future compatiblility between the two plugins, or implementing this directly into SFC ?

    Thanks for reading :)

PS: Sorry for my bad english as it's not my main language ;)

I'd love to add such a thing, but I'd need to know more about the format you're using. What's the link to your blog? How do you include the audio attachment on the site or in the post?

I'm using Podpress to attach mp3 audio to my posts and to enhance my rss feeds for iTunes (& so on).

You can see it in action here !

I also posted about this feature in a topic I started about Podpress ;)

Thanks for the quick reply :)

Okay, I've added og:audio support to the trunk version of the code. It is looking at the normal WordPress "enclosure" metadata, which is how WordPress does normal podcasts. I cannot be sure this will work with PodPress, since PodPress might be doing something stupid and overriding the normal enclosure handling. Didn't check. Might work fine.

Anyway, trunk version has the code now:
    http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/simple-facebook-connect/trunk/

Note: You will need to be running WordPress 3.3 to use the trunk version. It has a fair number of 3.3-only updates, and I haven't had time to try to make it backwards compatible yet.

Additional note: In my testing, when I liked a post with an audio metadata in it, the audio showed up fine in my FB Activity feed (even played right from there), but screwed up my normal profile display using the newer timeline stuff. I have no idea why. I suspect Chrome dev version being broken somehow, since it was inconsistent and weird.

    Hi !

    I'm LAAAAAATE, I know, sorry...

Tested it today with podpress, does'nt do anything, of course because podpress deals in another manner with enclosures... I'll check back on their thread !

Thanks for the support ! :)
