Hi, I cannot figure out why I get this error...

Error!!! Forbidden. This could mean a bad OAuth request, or a file or folder already existing at the target location.

I reset the plugin again, set folder, reauthorized, confirmed and... same results... Any clues?

    Thanks!

    Hi hiphopsmurf

I have reset plugin 2 times, the second one first deauthorizing the App at dropbox. I both times I changed the temp folder to the default recommended by your plugin (it was defaulting to something else because of the theme I am using...)

I even changed permissions of the folder to 777, to play it safe...

I both occasions, thru serveral attempts I got either of both of this messages:

Error!!! Unable to connect to ssl://api-content.dropbox.com:443. Error: Connection timed out

Error!!! Forbidden. This could mean a bad OAuth request, or a file or folder already existing at the target location.

    Thanks !

I updated the plugin yesterday to include various error checking to test the hosting environment. Have you updated to version 1.3.0? The error your getting is usually caused if your host/server is not compiled with OAuth which Dropbox requires in order to use to use their service remotely. After updating, if you go to the settings page for the plugin and it displays "Seems your host might not play nice with this plugin... But give it a shot anyway." The plugin will not likely work on your host/server.

Hi. I installed the plugin yesterday and got this message after "Authorize"

    Step 1: Pre-authorization acquired!
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /htdocs/public/www/wp-content/plugins/simple-dropbox-upload-form/inc/Dropbox/OAuth/Wordpress.php on line 80

    Any ideas?
    Thanks, Stefano

Unfortunately I do not have any idea where that error could be coming from.

I received same error. Problem was in backup path. Be sure directory, where you are backuping exist in dropbox and you dont have / slash at the end of it.
