Does anyone have any idea what is up? I would really like to try and fix this as at the moment I have some broken links on my site to pages that were previously quite good for me. I don’t really want to stick with bad URL structure though.

Your request field should look like this: /malaysian-recipes/beef-rendang-recipe/

If that’s set and you’re still seeing problems, it can sometimes be tough to diagnose what’s going on. The most common problem is that an actual file of the same name (or in this case something like /malaysian-recipes/beef-rendang-recipe/
index.htm) exists on the server, but I don’t think that’s the case here.

Occasionally, caching plugins like WP_Super_Cache can cause problems because they get set with the same priority as the 301 plugin. If you have a caching plugin installed, try disabling and then re-enabling it. Doing so should rearrange the order of execution so the 301s get processed first.

If that doesn’t solve your problem let me know and I’ll try to help you debug further.

Hi I’ve installed this last night and although it works wonderfully to redirect specific category/tag/post (i.e /tag/life-style/ to /expat-lifestyle –> complete link is http://finally-woken.com/tag/life-style/ )

It does not work to redirect this:
    request: /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/
    destination: /%postname%/

I’ve disabled WP_Super_Cache for more than half an hour last night and activate it again, but the redirection still doesn’t work.

    I’ve still got over 200 404 errors.

Can you please let me know what I’ve done wrong? Thanks a lot!

(PS: I installed another permalink redirection plugin before but because it’s no longer supported and I read people experienced major errors with their pagination etc, I unistalled it and installed this plugin instead. Not sure if this has an impact on your plugin?)
