Why does Silence is Golden plugin add a directory named alkivia to my wp-content/uploads directory? Just curious as to it's function.

Hi,
I'm wonder, why do you think that SIG plugin does it? I don't use alkivia framework at all. SIG plugin source code doesn't contain 'alkivia' word even. Please check again, I'm sure that some other plugin could do it, some which uses alkivia (alkivia.org) framework for its work.
Please, let me know about your investigations result. I'm curious too.
Regards,
Vladimir.
I noticed the file appears when I activate SIG and then disappears when I deactivate the plugin so I automatically thought it was SIG creating the directory. Which is empty by the way with only SIG's index file contained within.
Upon further investigation I noticed that my sites that have Capability Manager activated as well as SIG, this is when the Alkivia directory is created. Sites that do not have Capability Mger - no Alkivia directory.
Thanks for the information.
If you still need to manage capabilities but without alkivia framework overhead you can look at my User Role Editor plugin as alternative at
