Seems to just freeze with grey shading over widget area (22 posts)

Login seemed to work at first but may have stopped after upgrading the widget. After putting in ID and Password then clicking Login button it places a grey box over the area but never logs in.

Possible an ajax issue - check your browsers console/error log if you know how.

    Added some patches today.

Still have this problem (wp 3.3.2 lb 2.3.5) tried ie9 and chrome18.
Is there a way to see if the plugin is accessing the db?

Also the same problem...I went way back to version 2.2.15, last time site was updated and all was good. But 2.3.5 definitely had the issue described above, and neither Firebug nor the Chrome console picked anything up as far as JavaScript errors.

I'm experiencing this issue as well but it only happens if a user inputs an incorrect user/pass. It permanently freezes. But if correct user/pass is used, it proceeds as intended.

It was working fine before updating.

FYI I downgraded one-by-one until I was able to get it working again. 2.3.2 is the most recent version that works without the aforementioned issue in my post above.

Yep, 2.3.2 is the last version that works for me, too.

This problem cropped up for me when I upgraded WP to 3.4.1 a few days ago. I discovered that turning off WP Super Cache solved the problem (but now the site is slow).

I have the same issue too. I get mixed results. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just gives me the grey box.

Getting the same issue when using WP Super Cache. Clearing the cache seems to correct it but then comes up again occasionally.

I have the same problem, and I do not have WP Super Cache installed

Definitely broken with current WordPress. I don't have WP Super Cache yet the plug in always hangs. I have to use the "plain regular" login window to enter now.

Please check the php version of your server and check the server requirement regarding wp 3.4.1.

    Phew,

I was having the same problem--I thought maybe it was just me. Guess I'll use version 2.3.2 until this gets fixed.

I am using WP 3.4.2 and PHP 5.3.13. The 2.4 form was working fine up until this morning when I updated WordPress Super Cache to 1.2. Don't know how that would have anything to do with it but that's the only change I made between last night when the form did work and today. I hope this can get fixed soon but because people need to be able to log on, guess I'll go back to an earlier version of the form and try that.

Nope. Version 2.3.3 gave me a pink box above the form that said "undefined". Version 2.3.2 refreshed the page and added http://wyciwyg://0/ in front of the URL for the page and gave me a blank Web page. I deleted the http://wyciwyg://0/ and reloaded the page and I was logged on. OK for me to do but not for users.

I deactivated this plugin and deleted it. Then I moved the WordPress Meta widget in. But the Sidebar Login form still shows and still grays out when used. When I hover over the Login button, the status says /wp-login.php?action=logout&_wpnonce=xxxxxxx
Perhaps this is the problem? It is logging out as we are logging in?

A "normal" login works fine for me with WP 3.4.2 and SL 2.4.

I am able to reproduce the problem if I go to my site, login, press the browser's "back" button and try to login again (not having logged out before).
