   Hi poeope, my name is Roger and I have this problem with this plugin, my site is running on WP 2.8.3 I haven´t problems to install the widget but these links doesn´t appear when Im not logged in...

   I also working on a Spanish Translation for anyone who needs it...

   Yes, it works, just check in the options/general panel on your dashboard the option "anyone can register" and both options will appear in the sidebar, apologies but for me wasnt obvius...
