• I’m building a new site for a client and testing it on their host, When I activate the SI CAPTCHA plugin, I get Error 500 when I try and use the Pages sub-menu in Admin. All the other menu options work. Deactivate the plugin and the error disappears.

    – This is the site I’ve built under 3.1
    – The host is running PHP4, but all the CAPTCHA tests work fine.
    – other activated plugins are Google Maps V3 Shortcode, Tiny MCE advanced, Tweet Blender, WordPress Importer.
    – version 2.7 of the plugin. Also happens in version 2.6.3 which is why I upgraded.
    – this error does not occur on my windows 7 local host (or other sites) running php5, so I’m guessing it may be a php4 issue?

Any help appreciated as to why this is happening.

I’ve done some more testing on this and it appears to be a conflict between SI CAPTCHA and Tweet Blender. I turned off all the plugins and re-activated in various orders.

If CAPTCHA is active and Tweet is off – no problem.
Then activate Tweet and it gets an Error 500 on activation.
I then activated Tweet again and it works, so I activated Maps and Importer. So all four are active and guess what! – the original error has disappeared , and the Pages sub-menu works fine.

I’m now completely bemused. Anyone got an idea about what I’ve done wrong or done right here?

Strange indeed. Do you have access to the error log to see what that 500 error was?

Error log not available and nothing in the access log that is helpful

I guess I’ll set both up on my test box and see if I can replicate that 500 error
