Plugin: Show posts by author / Show posts from category

I released a new version of my ‘Posts by Author’ plugin. It now allows you show newest or oldest posts first, and supports category exclusion.

For those of you unfamiliar with this plugin, it allows you to display a list of the last X posts by the current author at the bottom of every post. There are several options available. If you prefer, you can also use it manually with the trigger text.

I have also released a new plugin – ‘Other Posts from Cat’.

It works much the same way as the ‘Posts by Author’ plugin, but it allows you to display recent posts from the current category.

It currently only checks the first category of the post being viewed, so it works best if you assign each post a single category.
