Feedback: Posts-only option and other items needed (2 posts)

    Hi,

I recently installed sharedaddy to test if it can replace my previous sharing plugin (share and follow).

    What I loved about sharedaddy:

    • Easy to setup
    • Good CSS and JS, making it look great

Unfortunately, despite its good looks, I found it has limitations that are too severe for me to use it:

    • There is no option to select if it should show up on pages only, posts only, or specific post categories or tags. I am providing users with specific content pages, like their profile data (on the frontend), where sharing would be not appropriate.
    • On some of my pages I am running multiple looks, for example to show "featured loops" as one-liners only. For some reason, the share buttons show up on these ones, too, and are messing up the design.

For that reason this plugin is unsuitable for my purpose, which is a pity as it looks really good. I would love to use it once it has some more flexibility built-in. The same goes for the Jetpack plugin by the way.

    Kind regards,
    Steffen Ruefer

Did you check ShareDaddy More Control plugin?
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sharedaddy-more-control/

It doesn't cover all you listed, but it has support for pages/posts only, and post types. A new update should come soon with support for multiple post types and maybe something more.

Let me know what you think.
