Hello
It works really well, all these sites share the same users :

http://community.silexlabs.org/silex/aide/
http://exchange.silexlabs.org/
http://community.silexlabs.org/silex/forum_fr/
http://community.silexlabs.org/silex/forum_en/
But when someone registers in one blog, like http://exchange.silexlabs.org/ I have to set the role manually in the master blog so he can post in the other blogs right?

I've heard that others with your issue say that they used http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-orphanage/ as a successful workaround to your issue.
I have a question for you if you are still around and don't mind sharing. I have enabled the plugin on two blogs (one is a subdomain of the other), but they cannot see each other's user tables. The drop down in the plugin admin just shows the blog itself. Is there a trick to getting them to see each other? I have to admin I'm incredibly curious as to how they would see one another in the first place.
Can you help at all?

Yes, until we create an option to "enable x role on all blogs by default" you will have to manually change the users permissions on all the blogs you want them to have access to. I realized this while programming the plug-in, but the fix is rather complex to write and will take a while.
