Hi!
I used the shadowbox-version 3.0.0.3 and now updated it to the newest version.
Unfortunately it doesn't work anylonger: my pictures were opened not in this cool window, but just in the normal browser-window.
I did't change anything! I even updated to the newest WordPress-version, ...with no result.
So, what is wrong? Also the default-wordpress-theme doesn't show the shadowbox. So it is not up to this "<?php wp_head(); ?>"-thing.
Thanks for replies,
nina

I have seen that this topic has been discussed before, but it seems to be a very user-dependent...
I think I just wait for another update and downgrade to 3.0.0.3 meanwhile.
Thanks. :)
There are a few things that you can do. Give me a link to your site so I can take a look. Also you could try upgrading to the development version from: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/shadowbox-js.zip
To upgrade to the development version:
1) Deactivate the Shadowbox JS plugin
2) Delete the shadowbox-js directory from wp-content/plugins
3) Upload the contents of the shadowbox-js.zip file to wp-content/plugins/shadowbox-js
4) Activate the plugin
Some changes that have been made in the development version may resolve your problem.
If it doesn't please give me a link to your site so I can take a better look.
If you were to give me a link to your site it would need to be running one of the versions that does *not* work as intended.

Hi Sivel,
I too am experiencing this issue with js shadow box. All was working fine until this morning.
I have just tried the development version as above and still the images in my blog are opened in a standard browser window.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated ;)

@TykeTiler: Your problem seems to be that you are missing the call for <?php wp_footer(); ?> directly before </body> in your themes footer.php

Thanks very much for taking the time to look mate ;)
I really appreciate it.
I must have been tinkering and somehow lost the code (doh!)
Thanks again
T.
Hi,
i also have problems around here. i put the wp_footer(); directly before the body tag, but nothing changed.
Are there some other hints to get the shadow plugin works after that update, or how can i downgrade it?
Thanks,
Lars
ok, download the 3.0.0.3 from here, delete the newer plugin and copy the old one in the wp_content/plugin folder.
Go to the plugin administration, deaktivate and active the 'older' plugin and everything works fine at the moment :-)
