[Plugin: Shadowbox JS] page disappears when uploading more than 9 photos

I am uploading photos using the shadowbox plugin…just normal jpegs. But it seems that no matter what I do, I cannot get a 10th image on the page. Are there limitations to how many images you can upload per page? I uploaded about 27 shots without a problem. But I can’t get any more to show on the page beyond the 9 I already have. If I try to upload any image, the page goes entirely blank…it just won’t display anything at all. All info just disappears. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to remedy the error?
