   Every plugin author seems to handle the access to its settings in a different way. Some put a new menu group, some put settings under WP settings, some add settings to plugin information along with the author information, and others scatter different parts of the plugin functionality in different WP dashboard menus.

   What I would like to see happening is a standard set of locations and all the settings accessible from the main entry point, be it a "Settings" link or a dashboard menu addition.

   Any thoughts?

   Let me see if I could bump this once more. It is getting quite chaotic when it comes to where plugin controls are located. It would be truly useful if there was some kind of standard, collectively developed and adhered to. Now that 3.3 is on the horizon, could this subject be addressed?
