SEO Ultimate
[resolved] Incorrectly rewrites the title when a Page is set to the home page (4 posts)

    When you set a static page to your blog start page, the title is rewritten as 'Page | Blog Name'
    this makes your search results on google (etc.) to show up with the title of 'Page | Blog Name'

    I have not found a way to change the behavior of this except to change
    modules/title/title.php line 105
    return (!is_admin() && !is_feed() && strlen(strval($this->get_title_format())) > 0 && !is_home() && !is_front_page());

    This is correct behavior. When your start page is set to the blog homepage, SEO Ultimate will use the "Blog Homepage Title" setting. When your start page is set to a page, SEO Ultimate will use the "Page Title Format" setting.

    @JohnLamansky is there any way of changing the homepage title without having a 'page' as a homepage?

    Would you recommend the above 'fix'?

    @musicdesigns: Yes. Just edit the "Blog Homepage Title" setting on the "Default Formats" tab on the "Title Tag Rewriter" page.
