Hi JoPo,
Looks like you are possibly running an older version of WordPress. wp_editor was added in WordPress 3.3. I would recommend you upgrade WordPress, if you are not running the latest version. If you can’t for some reason let us know and i will see what i can do to help you out.
Best,
Josh
I’m also getting an odd error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function str_getcsv() in /home/content/d/e/s/dese4279/html/wp-content/plugins/sendpress/sendpress.php on line 1197
This is a GoDaddy hosted account (I blame them already — LOL).
Thanks for any insight.
Kelley
Update. I installed this plugin on a different host with same issue. Hoping to find a resolution.
Kelley
Hi kelley,
This issue “Call to undefined function str_getcsv()” that came up has to do with PHP versions less the 5.3.0. We are working on a fix and should have one out shortly.
Best,
Josh

I am unfortunately unable to upgrade to 3.3.+ because I am running a multisite and it is currently live. We do not plan on getting there until sometime in the late July or early August timeframe at the earliest. I am sorry to be a pain, but if you can make anything happen for this to run on 3.2.1 that would be awesome!
Hi JoPo,
Release 0.8.3 should fix your issue with the editor in WP 3.2.1. I did some quick testing and it seemed to work for me. This should get you going until you can upgrade WordPress.
Best,
Josh
Hi Josh, I upgraded to the 0.8.3 — when I hit Send Emails, though only 1 test email is entered, the script shows ‘sending 1 of xxxx’ where xxxx can go into the thousands and I can not stop the process unless I Cntrl Alt Del and exit WP in that manner. This happens on installs on GoDaddy and another different hosting provider.
Hoping my test emails did not go to some unknown thousands of users 😉 But, I did receive the one.

Hi Kelley,
Are you using Internet Explorer? or another browser? We have had a similar issue reported that seems to happen only in IE. If you could provide a few more details that would be great and I am working on a fix for this issue.
Best,
Josh
Hi Josh,
You’re correct, it’s an IE (go figure!) issue. Works fine in FF.
I did notice, without having any other images in my test email, that the tracking (transparent) image comes over as a broken image. Normally I’m prompted in Outlook to download images and that would account for that…but not in this instance.
Would love a double optin feature in next release. Also, what if end user does not accept HTML email? Do they get a decent text version of same?
Keep up the great work! I have tried numerous newsletter plugins and most are far too complex or just don’t plain work. This one seems to be a keeper!
Kelley
Hi Kelley,
We are working on the bug in IE and the transparent image issue. Also double optin is on our feature list i dont know if it will be in the next release for sure but we are going to try. Could you send a few emails to newsletter@sendpress.com so we can take a look at what your site is generating?
Thanks,
Josh
Hi Josh,
Will do. Just now I tried deleting some dummy subscribers and the system appear to, then gives the message “deleted, if there were any to delete.” But it doesn’t delete the subscriber.
Check your email for a very poorly designed newsletter from me…
Kelley
Hi Kelley,
Thanks for the email. We are working on the issues you have and they should hopefully be fixed in one of the next few releases. I am going to close this thread for now but feel free to open an new one if you have other issues.
Best,
Josh
